Amr El-Hadidi: Egypt Outperformed England Against Argentina

Amr El-Hadidi, the former star of Al Ahly, stated that Egypt's performance against Argentina in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup was better than England's display against the Tango team in the semi-finals of the tournament, noting that the Pharaohs managed to keep up with their opponents and did not give up during the match.

Amr Al-Hadidi, in statements on the "Number One" program hosted by Mohamed Shobana and broadcast on CBC, said: "The Egyptian national team against Argentina was better than England, and we were able to execute our attacking transitions very well. We managed to keep up with them and did not give up."

He added: "Egypt did not retreat against Argentina, unlike England, which clearly fell back at the end of the match."

He continued: "Trezeguet wanted to do a lot at Al Ahly, but no one helped him from the players, and he faced heavy criticism due to the penalty he missed against Inter Miami."

Amr El-Hadidi concluded his statements by saying: "It is natural for Zamalek to own 60% of the football company, as any investor ensures profits when investing in a large entity like Zamalek."
