Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egypt national team, praised Walid Regragui, the coach of the Morocco national team, affirming that he is achieving remarkable results.

The Egypt national team will face the Ivory Coast national team tomorrow, Saturday, in the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Hossam Hassan added in the pre-match press conference: "Trezeguet is a fighter... and an honorable example of an Egyptian player. He reminds me of the football careers of myself and my brother, Ibrahim Hassan."

He added: "The Egyptian national team respects all competitors... There are differences in generations, and each era has its own players. African teams always have talents."

In response to a journalist's question about his criticism of the Moroccan fans, Hossam Hassan confirmed: "I might be the only coach who said that I am happy to be in Morocco, and I was supporting Morocco in the World Cup like all Egyptians. After the third goal in the last match, we were all under pressure and signaled to the fans that we were not going to lose."

He continued: "The situation that happened from the very first match in the tournament, the Moroccan fans' support for the national team was very strong," adding, "People were envious of us."

In conclusion of his statements, he emphasized that Morocco is one of the best countries to host continental championships, affirming that if given the choice, he would always choose to hold the tournaments in the Kingdom of Morocco.
