Massimiliano Allegri, Milan's coach, spoke after the match about the performance and the result, saying: "In football, you take what the result gives you. We have to extract the positives from this match; they were very good at disrupting us. We were in good positions despite the difficulty of the first half, but we conceded that goal."

Allegri continued: "Their intensity dropped in the second half, while we increased our performance. What we need to improve is patience against teams that play with a low defensive line, so we don't leave ourselves exposed to counterattacks, which almost cost us the match."

Allegri went on to say: "This is an important and difficult period; we have to stay calm in front of everyone. It's unfortunate that we didn't win at home. We tried to shoot a lot, but to no avail. In fact, we were lucky because we were at risk of losing."

Allegri concluded his talk by speaking about the team's top scorer Rafael Leão, saying: "He had two or three chances in open play that he could have handled better. He is not in his best form currently, but he was always present in the match and managed to score in the end."
