Al-Ittihad Continues to Exclude Al-Aboud Until the Match Against Al-Kholood
Thursday 08-01-2026
Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, a player of the Al-Ittihad first football team, continues to follow a daily individual training program inside the fitness center at the club's headquarters in Jeddah, in accordance with the decision of Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição.

Aboud continues to be excluded from group participation by a decision of the technical staff, confirming his absence from the upcoming match against Al-Kholood, after previously missing the matches against Al-Shabab, Neom, and Al-Taawoun consecutively.

Al-Aboud, 30 years old, has played ten matches with Al-Ittihad during the current season, totaling 219 minutes on the field, including six appearances in the Roshn Saudi Professional League.

During Al-Aboud's career with Al-Ittihad, he faced individual sanctions previously, starting in 2023 during the tenure of Portuguese coach Nuno Santo, which at the time was described as a purely technical decision.

The punishment was repeated after the Argentine Marcelo Gallardo took over as head coach, as the player was excluded from his plans, prompting the club's management to loan him in January 2024 to his former club Al-Ettifaq until the end of the season.

As part of their preparations, Al-Ittihad players will have their main training session on Thursday afternoon, getting ready to face Al-Kholood on Friday evening in Buraidah, as part of the 14th round of the Roshn League.

Al-Ittihad occupies sixth place in the Saudi League standings with 23 points, earned from seven wins and two draws, along with three losses since the start of the current season.
