Wydad Athletic Club officially announced today the signing of forward Wissam Ben Yedder, on a contract lasting six months, with a clause allowing for an extension for an additional season, as part of the club's efforts to strengthen its squad in the upcoming phase.

The club explained in its official statement that the agreement with the player came after successful negotiations, making Ben Yedder a member of the red team's squad until the end of the current season, with the possibility of continuing depending on the evaluation of the experience by both parties.

Wydad welcomed the arrival of its new player, expressing confidence in his ability to provide a qualitative addition to the group, thanks to his extensive experience and technical and physical capabilities, which would enhance the frontline and support the team's ambitions locally and continentally.

Ben Yedder, 35 years old, who recently played for the Turkish team Sakaryaspor after transferring there a few months ago, informed his previous club's management of his desire to leave and join Wydad.

The former French international Ben Yedder of Tunisian origin has previously played for several prominent clubs, including Sevilla FC in Spain and AS Monaco in France.
