Cameroon Defeats South Africa and Sets Up a Quarterfinal Clash with Morocco

The Cameroonian national team qualified for the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations after winning the round of 16 match against South Africa by two goals to one.

The Indomitable Lions will face the host nation Morocco in the quarterfinals, who won 1-0 against Tanzania. The match is scheduled to take place next Friday, starting at 10 PM Mecca time, at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Cameroon took the lead with their first goal scored by Junior Chamed in the 34th minute, which ended the first half of the match.

The young star Christian Kouamé, Bayer Leverkusen striker, added Cameroon's second goal early in the second half at the 47th minute.

In the 88th minute, South Africa reduced the deficit with a goal from Evidence Makgona, but it was not enough for Bafana Bafana, as Cameroon advanced to the next round.
