The Court of Arbitration for Sport has revealed the latest updates on the appeal filed by the Senegalese Football Federation against the Confederation of African Football and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation regarding the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. It confirmed that deliberations are still ongoing, with a final ruling expected by the end of November 2026.

The court stated in an official statement released on Monday, October 19, that the arbitration panel began its deliberations following a hearing held at its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Thursday, October 8, noting that the session was held behind closed doors.

The authority confirmed that it intends to issue a comprehensive ruling that includes the final decision and the legal grounds on which it is based, which necessitates completing the study of various aspects of the file before announcing the result.

According to the data revealed by the court, the drafting of the ruling will take several weeks, making the end of November a likely date for a resolution in the case, pending the conclusion of deliberations and the adoption of the final decision.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has emphasized that its official channels remain the trusted source for information regarding this case, confirming that any updates or announcements regarding the matter will be published on its website.

This file is receiving widespread attention in Moroccan and Senegalese sports circles due to its connection to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, while the final decision remains contingent on the ruling that the court will issue after completing the legal procedures.
