Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Callum McFarlane, the coach of Chelsea's under-21 team, will take on the role of interim manager for the first team in their upcoming match against Manchester City, scheduled for next Sunday as part of the 20th round of the Premier League.

According to the same source, McFarland is expected to appear at a press conference on Friday afternoon to discuss the upcoming match against City, marking his first media appearance since being assigned the interim role.

This decision comes following the club's announcement on Thursday of the departure of Italian coach Enzo Marisca from managing the team, in a move aimed at reorganizing the technical aspects during the current phase, until a new coach is appointed to lead the team for the remainder of the season.

The London club has already begun searching for a new coach to take charge of the team in the upcoming period, with the club linked to several names, most notably Xavi Hernandez, Glasner, Thiago Motta, and Liam Rosenior.
