The French newspaper "Le Monde" revealed that a police officer responsible for the security of the French national team was punished after it was proven that he received a financial donation from the French star Kylian Mbappé without disclosing it to the relevant authorities.

According to the newspaper, the officer received an amount of 60,300 euros from Mbappé in June 2023, but he did not report this to his superiors or declare the amount in accordance with the procedures followed within the security institution, which was considered a serious administrative violation.

Le Monde explained that internal investigations concluded by holding the officer fully responsible for the lack of transparency in handling the donation, which led to an official decision to punish him and force his early retirement.

The report confirmed that the case does not involve any criminal charges against Kylian Mbappé, as the donation falls within a personal context. The violations were focused on the officer's behavior and his failure to respect the regulations and administrative rules in place within the French police force.
