Tuesday 30-12-2025
Danish striker Rasmus Højlund continues to deliver outstanding performances with Napoli in recent weeks, prompting the club's management to act early to secure his future, according to Italian media reports, most notably the newspaper "Corriere dello Sport."

The newspaper explained that Højlund, currently on loan to Napoli from Manchester United, has a purchase option in his contract worth 50 million euros, which becomes mandatory if Napoli qualifies for the Champions League next season.

During the 2025/2026 season, Højlund participated in 20 matches across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists, already surpassing his goal tally in the league compared to last season, which has strengthened his position within the team.

The newspaper added that if Højlund's permanent transfer is completed, his new contract will include a penalty clause worth 85 million euros, which will come into effect starting from the summer of 2027.
