The Giza Criminal Court, 30th Circuit, convened at the Shubra El-Kheima Court, issued its ruling in a case involving forgery of official documents at a tourism and hotel institute in the Abu Nomros area of Giza. Among the defendants was the player Ramadan Sobhi.

The court sentenced Ramadan Sobhi and the second defendant, who took the exam on his behalf, to one year of imprisonment with labor, acquitted the third defendant, and sentenced the fourth defendant, who is a fugitive, to 10 years in prison.

A number of players attended the sentencing session to support their teammate, including Mohamed Reda Bobo, as well as Sherif Ekramy and Ali Gabr from Pyramids Club, affirming their support for Ramadan Sobhi during the trial.

During the trial session, the defense team presented their arguments regarding the absence of criminal intent and the lack of elements constituting a crime for the first defendant. Meanwhile, the court examined the evidence and documents, with the presence of the player's lawyer despite the absence of the fourth defendant's lawyer.

This case is considered one of the most prominent legal issues that have recently attracted the attention of the Egyptian sports community, as it combined legal events with the presence of prominent sports figures, giving it a distinctive media and sporting character.
