Ahmad Sayed Zizo, the star of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, expressed his happiness about the Pharaohs qualifying for the round of 16 in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match between Egypt and Angola, held yesterday Monday in the third and final round of the group stage of the tournament, ended in a 0-0 draw. Egypt qualified as the leader of Group B with 7 points.

Zizo said in statements to "On Sport" channel: "We achieved what we planned. We approached each match separately according to the instructions of the head coach Hossam Hassan, and thank God, we advanced without suffering any defeat."

Zizo praised the approach taken by the coaching staff led by Captain Hossam Hassan, explaining that the national team roster includes 28 top-level players. He added, "The participation of all players in the first three matches is the clearest proof that the (Dean) gives everyone a chance based on effort, which has created a high spirit and strong competition among the players."

He continued: "The Pharaohs' team currently stands out for its fighting spirit, and everyone is doing their utmost to implement the coach's strategy. I extend my thanks to Hossam Hassan for the great trust he places in us."

Regarding the current edition of the tournament, Zizo pointed out that it has seen a high level of focus from all the teams from the very beginning, making it one of the toughest editions.

He concluded his statements by saying: "We thank the Moroccan audience for the great support we receive here. We feel as if we are in our own country. This support motivates us to keep going, as the Egyptian national team always remains the number one favorite in any tournament it participates in."
