Brazilian club Flamengo officially announced that they have reached an agreement with head coach Filipe Luís to renew his contract, allowing him to remain in charge of the team until December 2027.

José Poto, the club's Executive Director of Football, explained that reaching this agreement was the result of a mutual desire from both parties to continue the sports project, along with a willingness to reconcile viewpoints and build a balanced and sustainable agreement that takes into account the coach's ambitions while also aligning with the governance policies adopted by the club's management under the leadership of Luiz Eduardo Baptista.

The club pointed out that renewing Felipe Luis's contract embodies the continuation of a long and special relationship between him and Flamengo. The current coach has been part of the club since childhood and was emotionally connected to it even before strengthening this bond on the field as a player. He then continued his journey from the sidelines as a coach, leading the team during one of the most successful periods in its history.

Through this renewal, Flamengo reaffirmed its full confidence in the work carried out by Filipe Luís, emphasizing its commitment to continue building in the coming years with the aim of achieving more successes, improving technical performance, and winning championships.

The renewal of the young coach's contract comes after an outstanding 2025, during which he won the Libertadores Cup, the Brazil Cup, the Brazilian Super Cup, the Carioca Championship, and reached the Intercontinental final.
