Return to Flamengo in Vinicius' Plans
Brazilian Vinicius Junior ignited the enthusiasm of Flamengo fans with his recent statements in which he confirmed his desire to return to his original club before the end of his football career. He emphasized that he does not want to make this move at an advanced age, but rather while he is still capable of competing and winning major titles.
The Real Madrid star said in statements to CazeTV: "I will return. Ah... I won't return when I'm too old, okay!"
The 25-year-old player added, "I must win the Copa Libertadores with Flamengo."
The statements, which many interpreted as a hint at the possibility of his return in five or six years, suggest that he is still at the peak of his physical and technical performance to lead the team to continental glory.
Vinicius had won only one title with Flamengo, which was the Guanabara Cup in 2018, and he came close to winning the 2017 Copa Sudamericana before losing the final to Independiente.
