Allegri: We Achieved an Important Victory, but We Still Need to Improve
Sunday 28-12-2025
Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of AC Milan, emphasized that his team still needs to improve despite their impressive 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona in the Italian league. He also pointed out that winning the Serie A title this season will require accumulating between 82 and 84 points.

Allegri said: "We were a bit cautious in the first half, improved in the second, but we should have managed the ball better when leading 3-0."

He continued about Christopher Nkunku's performance: "It's natural; he is a good young player who wants to deliver an excellent performance. He scored his first goal today, and after the penalty, he scored a goal that reflects his character. I believe he can continue to improve like everyone else."

He added about the competition for the league title: "The longer it takes, the harder it becomes. Facing Cagliari will be tough; we need to prepare well. We need everyone because we have an important month ahead between now and February."

He added, "We need Rafael Leão to return to full fitness, and even Pulisic is not at his best yet. We must regain our form in the Champions League next year. As Capello said, it's very difficult."

He continued his talk about his predictions for the Scudetto: "It seems that the Scudetto will be decided at 82 to 84 points, maybe 86 if one of the teams puts together a good run. For us, it was important to win today against a fast and exciting team."
