Iranian Al-Talaba team coach Ali Reza Mansourian expressed his great happiness after the valuable victory his team achieved over Al-Shorta Club in the Baghdad derby, within the Iraqi Stars League competitions.

Mansourian said: "We delivered a great match against a respectable and strong team like Al-Shorta, and we deserved to win, especially since we missed more than one opportunity that could have increased the goal tally."

He added: "We entered the match with a clear plan after studying the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent, and the players succeeded in executing the instructions as required, which is why we came out with a deserved victory and an enjoyable performance for the fans."

He continued: "This is my first official match with the team, and it was very important to achieve a win in it, because a positive start gives confidence to everyone, whether the technical staff or the players."

Mansourian pointed out: "We noticed some mistakes during the match, and we will work on correcting them in the coming period, while on the other hand, there are many positives that we will strengthen until we reach the level we aspire to."
