Player Oscar Bob is close to leaving Manchester City during the upcoming winter transfer window, as the club is nearing the completion of a deal to sign striker Antoine Semenyo.

Trusted Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his official X account that Bob will seriously consider leaving if the deal goes through, due to its impact on his chances of playing with the first team.

Reports indicated that strengthening Manchester City with new attacking options would put several players at risk of losing their roles, which might prompt them to seek more playing time. Among these players is Omar Marmoush, who was previously linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in January.

Romano added that many major European clubs have shown interest in signing Bob, including Borussia Dortmund, which made offers to acquire the player in recent weeks. He confirmed that Liverpool contacted Semenyo's circle in November and December, but the player chose Manchester City as his preferred destination.

It is worth mentioning that Oscar Bob joined Manchester City's youth team in 2019, coming from the Norwegian club Valerenga. He spent four seasons with the club's academy before being promoted to the first team, and then signed a new contract in January 2024 to remain with the club until the summer of 2029.

This development comes as Manchester City prepares to reshape the team's attacking lineup in January, allowing the coach to strengthen his options while giving players who might be affected by the new signings a chance to reconsider their professional paths.
