Donnis confirmed, in statements published by the Saudi newspaper "Al-Yaum," his clear desire to coach the Saudi national team, noting that he also looks forward to leading his home country, Greece, in the future.

The Al-Khaleej coach explained that he feels proud to work within Saudi football, considering his current experience as an extension of his coaching career, which has included multiple stops across the region.

Donnis pointed to his contribution in supporting the Saudi national team by providing several players over past periods, emphasizing that working within clubs directly contributes to the development of national team players.

The statements of the Greek coach coincided with recent media reports indicating that the Saudi Football Federation is considering dismissing the Frenchman Hervé Renard and leaning towards choosing a local coach from the Roshn League.

This news comes ahead of the anticipated match between Al-Khaleej Club and Al-Hilal, scheduled for next Friday as part of the eleventh round of the Saudi Professional League.
