Latest Developments in Negotiations for Renewing Hussein El Shahat's Contract with Al Ahly
Sports journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed the latest developments in the negotiations for renewing Hussein El Shahat's contract with his club Al Ahly.
Al-Ghandour said in a television statement: "The player wants to receive a financial compensation exceeding 25 million pounds per season, in addition to advertising revenues. He also refuses to include a clause linking the contract value to his playing time, while Al-Ahly insists on its offer of 25 million pounds, including advertising."
He continued: "The disagreement also extends to the contract duration, as Hussein El Shahat seeks to renew for two seasons with an additional third season subject to mutual agreement, while Al Ahly's management insists on renewing for only one season with an optional additional season."
He added: "The player is considering, if Al-Ahly sticks to its current offer, going out on loan for one season with the option to extend for two more seasons, in order to financially benefit from any potential external offer."
