Cancellation of the Match Between Al-Kahrabaa and Al-Qasim in the Iraqi League.. Here Are the Details
Tuesday 23-12-2025
The referee canceled the match between Al-Kahrabaa Club and Al-Qasim Club just minutes after it started, due to a shortage of Al-Qasim players who were protesting the delay in receiving their financial dues.

Al-Qasim team participated in the match with only eight players, which complicated the course of the game after one player got injured and there was no substitute available, leading the referee to immediately end the match.

Al-Kahraba Club took the lead in the match with two clean goals scored by Nihad Mohammed, who refrained from celebrating out of respect for Al-Qasim's difficult situation and their shortage of players.

It is highly likely that the victory will be officially awarded to Al-Kahrabaa with a 3-0 score, due to the fact that only seven players from Al-Qasim were on the field when the match was stopped.

Al-Qasim's management has been suffering from a severe financial crisis since the beginning of the season, which has forced the majority of the players to leave the team, leaving it to face matches without its key players.

Other Iraqi clubs are experiencing similar issues with paying players' dues, raising concerns about the league's stability and its impact on the performance of competing teams.

This incident is a shock to the fans of the Iraqi Stars League, especially since both teams are considered important contenders in the tournament. However, the financial crisis prevented them from delivering a full match.

Local sources confirmed that the silence of the officials in Babil Governorate regarding the Al-Qasim crisis contributed to the worsening of the situation, leaving the players to decide to protest in a controversial manner during the match.
