Al-Qasim Club Clarifies Reasons for Its Negative Results in the Stars League
Al-Qasim Club commented today, Sunday, on the series of negative results that the team is experiencing in the Iraqi Stars League, indicating that the current situation was expected given the difficult circumstances the club is facing.
Club president Rasool Jassim stated in a press statement that "the exceptional circumstances that Al-Qasim is going through, foremost among them the international ban imposed, have prevented the signing of new contracts to compensate for departing players, which has directly impacted the team's performance."
He added: "The lack of training stability has clearly affected the performance, and despite our confidence in assistant coach Dr. Hassan Hadi, the team still needs new players and a comprehensive technical vision that enables it to rise again."
Jassim indicated that the administration is waiting for the end of the imposed sanctions period on January 5, hoping that the team will regain its balance and return to its correct path.
The Al-Qasim team suffered its third consecutive loss in the league after falling to Baghdad Municipality by a goal to nil, with the first half ending in a goalless draw before the match's only goal was scored in the middle of the second half. The team also faced an additional blow with the red card issued to player Hussein Abdul Wahid.
It is noteworthy that the representative of Babel had begun its journey with a heavy loss against Al-Naft with a score of three goals to none, then against Al-Karkh with a score of two goals to one, continuing its disappointing results before its upcoming match against the league leaders Al-Gharaf on next Friday.
