Rashid Jaber: League Matches Are Difficult and Its Suspension Affected Us; Ready to Face Al-Naft
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya coach, Omani Rashid Jaber, held a press conference to talk about his team's upcoming match against Al-Naft, as part of the eighth round of the Iraqi Stars League, affirming that all league matches are characterized by strength and competitiveness and are not without difficulty.
During the conference, Jaber said: "The Iraqi league matches are by no means easy; all teams have different playing styles, which makes preparation more complicated because in every round you face a new football school and a different style of play."
He added: "Al-Naft team is considered one of the strong teams in the league. They present modern and organized football and have an excellent coaching staff. Therefore, we are well aware of the difficulty of the encounter and deal with it with full focus."
The coach pointed out that Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's goal in every match remains clear, explaining:
"Our goal in every match is to earn the three points, and this is what the technical staff constantly works on, whether in terms of physical, technical, or mental preparation of the players."
Jaber confirmed that his team is going through one of its best periods this season, stating:
"We are currently at our best levels, and I am reassured by the players’ commitment and high fighting spirit on the field."
Jaber did not hide his surprise at the league suspension, saying:
"The league suspension raises many questions, and the biggest loser from this is the team itself due to the unclear dates and timing of the matches, which negatively affects all clubs without exception."
He stressed the necessity of having a fixed schedule, adding:
"It is very important to adopt a clear and fixed calendar for the matches, as is done in various leagues, because stability in dates helps teams prepare in the best possible way."
