Mostafa Shalaby: I Did Not Expect Zizo's Departure to Al Ahly
Mostafa Shalaby, the current Al Ahly Bank player and former Zamalek player, said he was surprised by Ahmed Sayed Zizo's transfer from Zamalek to Al Ahly.
Shalaby added on "ON Sports 1" channel: "I did not expect Zizo to leave Zamalek for Al Ahly. I spoke with him several times at the beginning of the season, and he told me that he would continue his journey with the White Castle. Zizo is a good and professional player who is dedicated to his work, so I was surprised by his move to the Red Castle."
He continued: "I played in the Confederation Cup final while injured and refused to disclose it because of my relationship with God. Zamalek Club has done a great deal for me; it has brought me fame, money, and a different social life. I will not consider filing a complaint against the club because that would not be right. Zamalek is my home, and it is not appropriate for me to reveal its secrets."
He continued: "Zamalek Club is always known for going through crises and problems, but we used to play for the fans. I wished to continue my journey within the White Club. I have a good relationship with Shikabala and consider him my role model, and Shikobanza is a good player."
He concluded: "I felt sad after the departure of the Portuguese José Gomes from Zamalek Club. Osorio is a brilliant coach and the best coach to have worked in Egypt in the last 20 years. I benefited a lot from him, and he possesses high-level thinking and artistic vision."
