Infantino Praises Qatar's Organization of the Arab Cup and Morocco's Victory
FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised Qatar's organization of the Arab Cup tournament.
The Moroccan national team won the championship title after defeating the Jordanian national team 3-2 in an exciting match held on Thursday evening at Lusail Stadium.
Infantino said in a press statement: "Morocco are the Arab world champions after an exciting comeback victory against the Jordanian national team, in a match that brought joy to 84,517 passionate fans at Lusail Stadium."
He continued: "It was wonderful to be in the company of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani; His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Jordan, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II; Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani; the Minister of Sports, Saudi Minister of Sports Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal; and others, on this wonderful evening."
Infantino expressed his sincere gratitude to the Qatar Football Association, led by Jassim Rashid Al Buainain, for organizing a wonderful tournament that brought together Arab countries and provided great enjoyment to the fans.
