The management of the Egyptian club Al Ahly has taken a new step to finalize the deal for the Moroccan international Youssef Belammri, the left-back of Raja Casablanca, who is a candidate to join the team during the upcoming January winter transfer window.

According to press reports, Al Ahly is considering sending a representative to Morocco in the coming hours to complete the contractual procedures with Raja Casablanca, after Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan national team, refused the player's move to Cairo at this time, anticipating his call-up in the national team squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The source explained that Regragui placed Belammri on the reserve list for the national team, emphasizing the necessity for the player to stay in Casablanca to ensure his readiness, which prompted Al Ahly's management to plan to finalize the deal directly with his club in Morocco.

Sources confirmed that the Egyptian club has reached an agreement with Raja Casablanca to purchase the remaining six months of Youssef Belammri's contract, in preparation for his official joining of Al Ahly in the upcoming January, after completing all official procedures between the two parties.
