Moroccan National Team Defeats Jordanian Counterpart and Wins the Arab Cup
The Moroccan national team won the 2025 Arab Cup title for the second time in its history, after an exciting victory over its Jordanian brotherly counterpart with a score of 3-2 in the final, which was held on Thursday evening at Lusail Stadium.
The Moroccan team took the lead through Osama Tnan in the 4th minute, after he launched a wonderful shot from behind the halfway line, deceiving the goalkeeper and settling into the net.
In the 48th minute, the Jordanian team scored the equalizer through Ali Alwan, following a cross from Muhannad Abu Tah, which Alwan headed into Morocco's net.
The referee awarded a penalty kick to the Jordanian team after consulting the video assistant referee (VAR) due to a handball by a Moroccan player, from which Ali Alwan scored his second goal in the 68th minute.
In the 87th minute, the Moroccan team scored the equalizer after a cross that a Moroccan player headed and the goalkeeper deflected, then Abderrazak Hamdallah followed up and scored, with the goal being confirmed after consulting the VAR room.
After a 2-2 draw in regular time, the two teams went into extra time, where the Moroccan team managed to score a third goal through Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 100th minute.
