Christian Kiev, coach of Inter Milan, held a press conference on the sidelines of preparations for the match against Bologna in the Italian Super Cup semi-final, scheduled to be held on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Kiev said: "We have to play match after match with enthusiasm and determination. Perhaps we wouldn't have been here, but we are enjoying this opportunity."

He continued: "Özgül has trained and is available, and we will decide whether he will start from the first minute. Naturally, we prefer to have an extra day of rest, but we adapt to the circumstances."

Kiev added: "We fully understand what we want and what we can do, because this is the only way to build teams capable of winning titles."

He continued talking about the opposing team: "Bologna is a tough team for everyone, not just for Inter."

Kiev pointed to the team's relationship and the players' spirit: "Coaching this team is an honor and a pleasure. The players have faced challenges despite some difficulties and frustrations. The team is united and has a great desire to give their best."

He added: "As a staff, we have done everything possible to restore confidence, self-esteem, passion, and joy in playing, which is sometimes wonderful and sometimes difficult, but we always move forward with our heads held high."

The Inter coach concluded his statements by talking about live matches and team spirit: "We have to give our best because no one gives you anything for free. We will come out winners or losers, but we will come out with our heads held high after giving our best effort. Reaching this stage before other teams was an option for us. I had requested to arrive today, but it was not possible. As a staff, we did everything we could to restore confidence and self-esteem. We always move forward with our heads held high."
