Bellingham: Players Support the Coach 100%, and Our Season Is Not Over Yet
Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid midfielder, spoke to the press following the 2-1 loss against Manchester City in the sixth round of the Champions League group stage.
The English star said: "We are still trying to sort things out inside the dressing room regardless of what is happening outside. We know that doesn't help. It's about how we manage the matches. At times when we need to be patient, it seems we always concede goals, which puts us in a difficult position and forces us to play in a way we don't want to."
He added: "But inside the locker room, we have what we need to turn things around. Maybe we just need a bit of luck or something to discuss internally. I am confident that the season is not over just because we are going through a rough patch right now."
He emphasized: "The players support the coach 100%. The coach is wonderful. I have an excellent relationship with him, and I know many players feel the same. After a series of draws, we had good internal discussions and felt that we had put that period behind us, but in the last two matches... no one is waving the white flag, and no one is complaining. We accept the situation and keep fighting."
He concluded regarding the criticisms he faces: "This is life. This is what I have accepted. I play for the biggest club in the world and in one of the most closely watched countries. I don't want pity; I am living my dream. I deal with the pressure, and the most important thing for me is that."
