Ahmed Moussa Attacks Toulalan After Egypt's Exit from the Arab Cup
Famous media personality Ahmed Moussa attacked Helmy Toulalan, the assistant coach of the Egyptian national team, following Egypt's elimination from the Arab Cup.
The Egyptian team lost to Jordan 3-0 on Tuesday evening in the third and final round of the group stage of the Arab Cup, leading to the Pharaohs' exit from the tournament.
Ahmed Moussa said in televised statements: "We sent a tired team to the Arab Cup; there is no coach, no players, no system, no federation. This team should have been sent home after the first match against Kuwait."
He continued: "As for Helmy Toulalan, I said you didn't get support from the officials. If no one supports you, why did you go to the tournament? You should have left and spoken out earlier, not come now after this humiliating exit."
He added: "Do we even have a league, Mr. Deputy Ahmed Diab? Why didn't you stop the league? We basically don't have a league; we're just fooling ourselves. Does anyone even care about it? Well, I am a man who loves Al Ahly, football, and sports. I don't know who is first or second; the colleagues in the control room are still saying Ceramica is first."
