Argentine player Julián Álvarez spoke after Atlético Madrid's 3-2 victory over Eindhoven in the sixth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage, emphasizing the importance of the win for the team following a series of previous losses.

Álvarez said: "We are very happy; we needed this after the previous losses. We knew the match wouldn't be easy—they play well and have won many games. We knew it would be tough, but we delivered a great performance."

He added, "I am personally happy with the goal I scored, but the most important thing is the three points for the team. We know how tough this tournament is, and we must continue to collect points."

He continued: "The team's performance away from home needs improvement. Sometimes, the details determine the outcome, and we are working well. Details make the difference, but we must be present in every moment."

He continued: "We finished the match suffering unnecessarily because we could have scored more goals if we had been more precise."

Álvarez also pointed to the role of his teammate Sorloth: "Sorloth always works very hard and deserves it. Today, he gave us great support in a very tough match, excelled in attacks, and achieved a lot, which gave the team some relief."
