Shikabala Sends Fiery Messages Following Egypt's Loss to Jordan
Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala, former Zamalek star, sent fiery messages following Egypt's national team loss to Jordan in the Arab Cup.
The Egyptian national team lost to Jordan 3-0 in the third round of the group stage of the Arab Cup, resulting in the Pharaohs being eliminated from the tournament.
Shikabala said on the "MBC Masr 2" channel: "Congratulations to the Jordanian national team; they are the most deserving. I want to ask those responsible for football in Egypt, where is the benefit from the Arab Cup? Everyone else benefited except us."
He added: "We are moving forward without a clear goal; we are consistently eliminated in the first round across all categories."
He continued: "This is not the Egypt national team at all; the performance was very bad. What would have happened if we had postponed Pyramids' two league matches?"
He concluded: "I went to Morocco and felt sad about the distance that has grown between us and them. People will be shocked by what they see."
