Al Ahly Club received an official offer from a Russian Premier League club to sign Slovenian striker Nejc Gradisar during the upcoming winter transfer window starting in January, amid the player's diminishing chances of continuing with the Red team.

Youm7 newspaper reported that the Russian offer is already on Al Ahly's management table, especially since the coaching staff, led by the Dane Jes Thorup, is convinced that keeping the player is not beneficial for technical reasons. The coach welcomes his departure in order to sign a foreign striker with stronger qualities.

The newspaper pointed out that the current offer does not meet Al-Ahli's financial aspirations, which has led the management to delay finalizing the matter so far, awaiting better offers that ensure a suitable financial benefit from the sale of the Slovenian player.

On the other hand, Al-Ahly places signing a foreign striker who is a top scorer as a top priority in the winter transfer window to compensate for the offensive shortage since the departure of the Palestinian Wisam Abu Ali. There is also the possibility that Gradishar will remain until the end of the season if he cannot be transferred, while another foreign player from the team's roster is expected to leave.
