Wednesday 10-12-2025
Mohamed Sherif, the striker of the Egyptian national team, emphasized the importance of the upcoming match for the "Pharaohs" against Jordan in the Arab Cup, stressing that the team is entering the game with only one goal: to win. The match is scheduled to take place on Tuesday evening at Al Bayt Stadium, as part of the third round of the group stage.

During the pre-match press conference, Sherif explained that the qualification scenarios require the Egyptian national team to secure a victory regardless of any other results. He said, "Our full focus is on winning, and there is no room for a draw against Jordan, as the points from this match will determine our fate in the tournament."

The Pharaohs' striker pointed out that the team suffered from bad luck during their journey in the group stage, especially in the match against Kuwait, adding: "Thank God for the draw against the UAE; this point could be the reason for our qualification to the next round."

Mohamed Sherif concluded his statements by emphasizing the difficulty of the match, describing it as an "early final." He said, "We see the match against Jordan as a final for us, and we hope to succeed in making the Egyptian fans happy by winning and securing the qualification spot."
