Mido's Comment After Egypt's Draw with UAE in the Arab Cup
Ahmed Hossam Mido, former Zamalek star, commented on Egypt's draw with the UAE in the Arab Cup.
The match between Egypt and the UAE, held on Saturday evening in the second round of the group stage of the Arab Cup, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Mido said on the "Shasha" platform: "Marwan Hamdy is very skilled in crosses, and Helmy Tolan's interventions were successful with the presence of Gaber and the Iraqi player, as well as Akram Tawfiq's entry into the midfield."
He added: "Jordan might rest some players after securing qualification, and this is in the interest of the Egyptian national team. The draw has restored hope for qualification."
He continued: "There was an uncalculated rush from the Egyptian national team at the beginning of the second half, and the UAE took advantage of it to score the goal."
Mido concluded that Egypt has a great chance to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Arab Cup, provided they perform better in the upcoming decisive match.
