Enrique: We Know Rennes' Capabilities, Kvaratskhelia Has High Quality
Friday 05-12-2025
Luis Enrique, the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, spoke at the press conference held today, Friday, ahead of the fifteenth round match against Rennes in the French league, where he reviewed his team's readiness and talked about several important issues within the club.

Enrique began by talking about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: "I am very happy with Kvara's performance, he is a high-level player with great ambition, I am extremely pleased with the level he has shown since his arrival last season, he possesses a lot of quality."

Regarding the team's second place position, he explained: "There is a team that has collected one more point than us, so we are deservedly in second place. This gives us great motivation. We currently have four points less than we had at this stage last season, but considering the injuries, we are doing very well. There are teams having a strong season, and the best will show by the end of the season, and so far it is Lens."

He spoke about tomorrow's match against Rennes saying: "All teams that come to Parc des Princes try to cause us problems, we know their capabilities well. The match will be difficult, they are good at playing with and without the ball, and they have achieved four consecutive wins, but for us, this is motivation, not a concern."

In the context of the title race, he said: "We are a team with great stability, and this reflects our mentality. The league is more exciting with teams like Lens, Rennes, Marseille, Lyon, Strasbourg, and Monaco. I talk with the players and feel the same confidence in what we want to achieve."

Regarding the World Cup being held at the end of the season, he confirmed: "It is positive for me as a coach because all players will give their best to prove their readiness for their national teams. It is the best tournament at the national team level, and I always see that having it on the horizon motivates players to show their abilities."

He also talked about work after the Monaco match saying: "The first thing we did was give the players rest to recover, which is very important. Most of our players participate with their national teams, so they are always under match pressure. After that, we worked on improving the attacking aspect and the physical condition of those who play less. We had a very good week of training and we are happy."
