Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca appeared at a press conference to discuss tomorrow's match against Bournemouth in the fifteenth round of the English Premier League.

Enzo Maresca said: "One of the things I regretted after the match against Leeds was not playing Josh Achibompong. The reason we played Trevo (Chalobah), Ben (Badiashile), and Tosin (Adarabioyo) was because we expected a lot of long balls towards their forwards, but even with that... we lost most of those duels."

He added about his team, which includes young players, and the impact of their experience on match results: "We always talk about experience when we lose points, but when we beat Barcelona and drew with Arsenal, no one mentioned experience. That wasn’t the reason. Who was our most experienced player this week (against Leeds)? Toussaint. Did he play well? So, it’s not about experience."

He continued: "The Bournemouth match will be similar to the Leeds match, so we need to be better. Leeds was a very strong team in terms of pressing and were better than us in every aspect. We hope to learn from that and be better tomorrow."

Regarding the possibility of Facundo Bonanotte playing: "Facu is performing well. He played many matches at the start because Cole was injured, William was injured, so there was more opportunity for him. There is no other reason than that."

Regarding the loss against Leeds: "I didn't see the players yesterday, but I watched the match again. We did many things poorly, but we also paid the price for playing with ten men against Arsenal for an hour, and we paid the price for playing away against Leeds. I was very surprised against Leeds… without a doubt, because I was expecting more — in every aspect."

Regarding the rotation against Leeds: "Most of the rotation was because other players couldn't play. We have players unable to play every three days. When you choose 11 players and win, everything is fine. But when you choose 11 players and lose, it becomes a problem."

He concluded about the team's condition: "Caicedo is suspended, and we have no new injuries. Romeo Lavia is experiencing a muscle issue, and we don't know when he will return."
