Arsenal Confirms Its Position on Ben White's Future
Thursday 04-12-2025
Arsenal has made its stance clear regarding the future of defender Ben White in the upcoming January transfer window, confirming that it will not consider any offers for the player's departure, despite interest from four major clubs, led by Manchester City, according to the website "TeamTalk."

Ben White has been going through a difficult season so far, having been left out of coach Mikel Arteta's tactical plans at times, and he has only started in four matches across all competitions since the beginning of the season.

Despite his reduced appearances, the English full-back returned to the starting lineup in the recent 2-0 victory over Brentford at the Emirates Stadium, delivering a strong performance that included an assist, helping to extend Arsenal's lead at the top of the table to five points. This was only his second league appearance this season.

Ben White's reduced playing time has attracted the attention of several clubs, some of which have contacted Arsenal to explore the possibility of signing him in January. Manchester City stands out as the most interested club, with manager Pep Guardiola looking for a new right-back ahead of the 2026 season, especially after their attempts to sign Tino Livramento from Newcastle fell through.

Guardiola believes that Ben White's abilities, whether as an inverted full-back or as a center-back, make him perfectly suited to City's style of play, especially given his international experience with the England national team.

Both Atlético Madrid, Como, and Marseille are monitoring the player's situation, with the latter two only likely to move for a loan deal if the opportunity arises.
