Sunday 07-12-2025
Moroccan coach Jamal Al-Salami confirmed that he aims to lead his Jordanian national team to the advanced stages of the Arab Cup and compete for the title.

The Jordan national team will face the United Arab Emirates national team this evening, Wednesday, at Al Bayt Stadium in the first round of the group stage of the Arab Cup.

In his statements at the press conference, which were published by the Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al-Salami said that the Jordanian national team came to Doha with great ambition, aiming to reach the advanced stages and compete for the title, given their strong readiness and high morale following their qualification for the 2026 World Cup finals.

He added: "We approach each match individually, so our focus is now on the first encounter, which will not be easy against the UAE team that performed strongly in the World Cup qualifying playoffs despite not qualifying."

He concluded: "Despite missing six key players for various reasons, we have great confidence in the rest of the team to deliver a strong performance."
