A dispute arose between the officials of Al-Ahly club and the coaching staff of the Moroccan national team regarding the situation of Achraf Bencharki, who is suffering from a hamstring injury that requires two weeks of treatment. This comes at a time when the national team is participating in the Arab Cup currently being held in Qatar, in Group B alongside Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Comoros.

According to Al-Ahram newspaper, the Moroccan national team insisted on keeping Bencherki as part of the squad in Qatar, hoping that he might be able to participate in the upcoming matches if his condition improves in the coming days.

In contrast, Al Ahly club management has demanded the player's immediate return to Cairo to continue his treatment and rehabilitation program under the supervision of the club's medical team, in order to avoid any complications that could affect his readiness in the upcoming period.

The newspaper confirmed that the most likely course of action currently is for Achraf Bencharki to leave the Moroccan national team's camp in Qatar and head to his home country for a short vacation, before returning to Cairo to continue his rehabilitation in preparation for rejoining Al Ahly.
