Mohamed Sherif Addresses Claims About Full Contract Demand from Al Ahly
Mohamed Sherif, the Al Ahly player currently on loan at Al-Zawraa in Iraq, has addressed rumors regarding his request for the full value of his contract with the Red Devils, emphasizing that financial matters are not his top priority.
Sherif stated in an interview with "Modern MTI": "It is not true what is being said about my demands for the full value of my contract from Al Ahly. I have faced a lot of injustice lately due to these rumors, but I assure you that I have not sat down with the management to discuss this."
He added: "I came to Al Ahly because I love the club, and it is impossible for me to negotiate with Al Ahly for money. I signed on a blank contract without looking at the numbers, as I do not place financial matters at the top of my priorities."
He explained: "It was also said that I want to continue with Al Ahly against the club's wishes, and that is not true either. I have not been in any disputes with Sayed Abdel Hafiz."
He continued: "After a meeting with the club officials, I was told that the coach does not want me, and we agreed to look for other offers. I prioritized playing outside Egypt."
He concluded: "We didn't take long to agree with Al-Zawraa, which is the largest club in Iraq and the most successful in terms of titles there."
