Sunday 30-11-2025
Since its inception in 1963, the Arab Cup has emerged as one of the most important regional competitions, with six different national teams crowned champions over various editions, while Iraq remains the most successful team in terms of the number of titles won.

The Iraqi national team topped the list of champions after winning four titles in the years 1964, 1966, 1985, and 1988, maintaining its record as the team with the most appearances on the podium.

The Saudi national team came in second place with a total of two titles won in the 1998 and 2002 editions, confirming its strong presence during that period which witnessed the development of Saudi football.

The Tunisian national team succeeded in making its mark as the first champion in the history of the tournament by winning the 1963 edition, while the Egyptian national team appeared on the list of champions with its sole title in 1992 during the edition held in Syria.

Morocco entered the record of winners after claiming the 2012 title, while the Algerian national team won its first title when it secured the 2021 championship held under the supervision of FIFA, becoming the most recent champion to date.

It is worth noting that the tournament experienced long hiatuses between some editions before officially returning under the umbrella of the International Federation of Football in 2021, which gave it greater organizational momentum and a wider following.
