Reason for the Failure of Al Ahly's Negotiations with Dieng So Far
Sports critic Amr Al-Dardir revealed the reason behind the unsuccessful negotiations for renewing Al Ahly player Aliou Dieng's contract with his club.
Al-Dardir said on Facebook: "Al-Ahly's negotiations with Aliou Dieng have not succeeded so far. Al-Ahly made a financial offer of up to 1.2 million dollars, but the player requested 2.2 million dollars to renew his contract."
The match between Al Ahly and Royal Army, held last Friday as part of the second round of the group stage in the CAF Champions League, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Al Ahly occupies first place in the standings of Group Two in the tournament with 4 points.
