Jaissle Awaits Wydad's Approval for Friendly Match in Jeddah
German Matthias Jaissle, the head coach of Al-Ahli Saudi Football Club's first team, is awaiting a response from Moroccan club Wydad regarding playing a friendly match in Jeddah during the international break, as part of the team's preparations for upcoming competitions.
Jaissle had granted Al-Ahli players a one-week break, coinciding with the participation of the Saudi national team in the 2025 Arab Cup held in Qatar, according to Al-Riyadiyah newspaper on Sunday evening.
In a related context, the draw for the semi-final round of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup for the 2025–2026 season resulted in Al-Ahli facing a tough match against Al-Hilal, while the other match will be between Al-Ittihad and Al-Kholood.
The semifinal is scheduled to take place during the holy month of Ramadan, on either February 23 or 24, with the exact date to be announced later.
Al Ahly continues to follow its preparatory program during the break, awaiting the confirmation of the friendly match to organize its upcoming training schedule.
