The international defender Youssef Atal has been officially called up to strengthen the Algerian national B team roster participating in the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar, by order of the national coach Madjid Bougherra.

This decision came to fill the gap left by player Mohamed Azzi's injury, which sidelined him from competition. The inclusion of Attal, who currently plays for Qatar's Al Sadd club, adds significant experience to the Algerian defense as they strive to retain the Arab title that the "Desert Warriors" won in the last edition in 2021.

Attal is considered one of the key players in the senior national team, but his participation in this tournament with the reserve team comes as part of the final preparations before the championship, which begins on December 1st.
