Media reports have revealed the future prospects of Islam Slimani, the all-time top scorer of the Algerian national team, confirming that his international career is approaching its final stage.

The reports explained that Slimani aims to "exit through the main door," after not having had the full opportunity to participate with the senior national team recently.

They added that the current competition will be the player's last wearing the "Greens" jersey, with plans to put an end to his sports career entirely by next June.

The report indicated that Slimani's role will not be limited to the technical aspect on the field, as he will serve as the "big brother" to the players, even if he does not participate, emphasizing that he will act as an "assistant coach" alongside Majid Bougherra within the group.
