Al-Ittihad Receives Defensive Blow Ahead of Al-Shabab Clash in King’s Cup Quarterfinal
Thursday 27-11-2025
Al-Ittihad team suffered a new setback ahead of their match against Al-Shabab, as it was confirmed that one of their key defensive players will be absent for the upcoming quarter-final match of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup scheduled for next Saturday.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" confirmed that left-back Moath Faqihi will not be included in Al-Ittihad's squad for the match against Al-Shabab, as tests have shown he is not physically fit to participate in the game.

Fuqihi continues his treatment program inside the club's clinic, which makes his participation impossible in a match considered one of the most important of the season for Al-Ittihad, who are striving to reach the semifinals.

Al-Ittihad will host Al-Shabab at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah on Saturday at 8:30 PM Saudi time, amid great anticipation from the fans.

The Al-Ittihad team secured their spot in the quarter-finals after an exciting 2-1 victory over Al-Nassr, while Al-Shabab managed to advance by defeating Al-Zulfi 1-0.

The federation is looking to confirm its technical progress by overcoming Al-Shabab, while the latter hopes to continue its positive trajectory in the tournament and compete strongly for the King's Cup title.
