Chelsea striker Liam Delap appeared in a press interview following the 3-0 victory against Barcelona in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.

The player said in his interview: "Chelsea is a wonderful club, and I came here for evenings like this. It was a special night. We worked hard all week to get everything right, and we succeeded."

He added: "The victory was the result of a collective effort; everyone adhered to the game plan set by the coach and his assistant team. Everyone worked hard and won their battles on the field, and we executed everything perfectly."

Regarding his goal, which was confirmed as valid through video technology: "I wasn't worried about a goal that seemed offside. I knew that Enzo (Fernández) was in a legal position, and I was also in a correct position."

He emphasized: "We know that the team has the necessary quality. We are getting stronger week by week. We enter every match knowing that we will perform well. We knew we had to win tonight to qualify directly."

He concluded about his young teammate Estêvão Willian: "He is a wonderful player with a great future ahead. If he remains humble and continues to work hard, he can become anything he wants."
