Spanish coach José Lana, head of the Syrian national team, spoke about the match against South Sudan in the qualifying playoff for the group stage of the 2025 Arab Cup.

He told us: "We know everything about the opposing team, and we have studied them carefully. We have individual video analyses that the players will review before the match."

It was also mentioned: "We are facing multiple challenges; some players were not allowed by their clubs to join because the tournament is held outside the official FIFA dates, others are injured, some will join after we qualify for the group stage, and we have players who haven't played official matches with their clubs for more than four months."

He added, "The situation is not easy, and the confrontation may be difficult for us. We will see what happens tomorrow."
