Syrian Federation Suspends Ammar Ramadan and Emphasizes Discipline within National Teams
The Board of Directors of the Syrian Football Association held its regular meeting today at the association's headquarters, where it discussed a number of issues related to the national teams and made a series of important decisions, according to its statement.
The national under-23 team:
The Coaches Committee, the National Teams Committee, and the Technical Development Committee have been tasked with reviewing the resumes of three coaches and submitting their recommendations to select the most suitable coach to lead the team in the upcoming phase.
The national under-17 team:
The same action was taken, where the specialized committees will study the files of three coaches and select the most suitable one to lead the national team in the upcoming period.
The men's national team:
The board of directors unanimously decided to suspend player Ammar Ramadan from participating with the national team until further notice, due to his media appearance without obtaining the necessary official approvals. It was also decided to exclude any player who fails to respond to the official invitation to the national team, except in justified cases approved by the head coach, with the aim of enhancing discipline and commitment within the national teams.
Regarding the media aspect, the Syrian Football Association announced the restructuring of the media office, appointing Zain Al-Rifai as the office director, with Abwa Qanati and Ahmad Bairaqdar as members. The statement also indicated that other decisions concerning the national team will be announced in the coming period to serve the interests of Syrian football and enhance the stability of technical and administrative work.
