FIFA Appoints Greek Refereeing Team for Morocco vs. Mali Quarter-Final Match
FIFA has appointed a Greek refereeing team to officiate the match between the Moroccan under-17 national team and their Malian counterparts in the quarter-finals of the World Cup currently being held in Qatar.
The match will be officiated by Vasilios Fotias as the main referee, with his compatriots Andreas Mentianis and Michael Papadakis assisting him. Romanian Marian Barbu has been appointed as the fourth official.
The match will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Aspire Stadium in Doha, at 4:45 PM Moroccan time (5:45 PM Doha time).
The national team reached this stage after qualifying as the best third-place team in the group stage. They then eliminated the United States team in the round of 16 through a penalty shootout (4-3) after the regular time ended in a (1-1) draw.
